I kid you not

I'm going to go broke buying these dinners!

She had one for lunch at 12:45 (after we restocked our stash from a Walmart trip) and she just went into the pantry for another one.

Paige: I eat one my dinners.
Me: No, you just ate one for lunch.
Paige: (Repeat louder and with a lip tremble)
Me: You are going to turn into a dinner.
Paige: No, I turn 3.

So, I caved. It is 4:35 and she wants to eat chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy and carrots.

Really.

I've got bigger fish to fry.

she'll probably eat them until she's a graduate

Paige loves, loves, loves Gerber Graduates dinners.

She'll go into the pantry and beg to eat one my dinners. And I usually let her. Because it's healthier than anything I have to offer her.

This picture was taken at 8:30 one morning. Seriously.

Then she asked for a chocolate pudding when she had chomped it all up.

You know, why not?

Paigey time

The other day (ok, it was the week after Thanksgiving), Paigey and I met Gregg up at his store to go to lunch. It is fun just having some Paigey time. And she gets lots of attention at Daddy Whoas.
I run Daddy Whoas.

(When Gregg saw the pic, he wasn't too happy. He said that a picker could've been coming out of the aisle and she could've gotten hurt. Probably true but I thought she looked so cute running through the store looking for him)
I hide Daddy Whoas.
(looks safe to me)

Oh, that's probably what I should've been doing. Holding onto the child.

Then we went to eat Mexican food. Paige ate chips and hot sauce. She finished her own bowl and moved onto another.

I love this baby!

so something happened between the sending and the cutting

Mrs. Hendrix sent Macy home w/these bears for me to cut out.

I laid them out on the floor so I could look out at of this kindergarten cuteness at once.

Before I knew it, Paige was doing "hotgot" which of course had me running for my camera.

Paigey has friends

Last Monday, Paigey went to her 1st birthday party where only she was invited.

Check out those cute ice cream cupcakes!

I have become good friends with two other kinder mommies and they both have little girls Paigey's age. And all three girls also take 'nastics together.

Birthday girl, Emma, Paige and Finley

she may be onto something

The girl's toilet has been running on and off for weeks.

The other night Gregg bought some new parts for it. And two little girls were right up in the middle of the installation.

And then I caught this little monkey doing this. (you've got to click to enlarge this picture to get the full effect)

Her skin has never looked better. I guess toilet water works!

the gymnastics hiatus is over

Apparently Macy forgot the gymnastics dress-code. She was killin' me in these outfits she chose for her and Paigey to dress up in (she chose the hair bows for them as well).

After being out of gymnastics due to the move, Macy started back at gymnastics three weeks ago!

I always knew that as soon as Paigey turned three, I'd enroll her as well. At most gyms, they don't offer classes for little ones under 3 w/out parental involvement.

And trust me, I'm not paying good money to go flip Paigey around myself. I have to do that every time she's in a shopping cart.
And it's a beating.

But Jill found this place that has a two year old class that is not parent involved.

Sold to the toddler in the purple rain boots!

Paige and Kendyl are in the same class and it is the highlight of her week.
Seriously. Could they be any cuter?

Kendyl wearing the purple leotard is appropriate, while Macy squeezing herself into it makes us feel the need to reach for the Aleve.

And take the whole bottle.

you get what you pay for

This was Paige's reaction to watching the free potty training video that came in the mail.

I can't say I blame her. We had to turn it off of too much talk and not enough action.

I was under the impression that it was a fun video showing little ones you know, pottying.

Something that would make my 32 month old want to do something on the potty besides talking about bellybuppons and all of the descrepancies between us: You brown hair, I yeyyow hair. You green eye, I blue eye.

...The little one is just.not.ready.

It is what it is.

Flashback Friday

Feb. 2004
Seeing Allie in Macy's old onesie made me miss my Baby Macy today.

Seeing Levi sitting up big in his sleeper made me miss my Baby Paige.

Paige and I love a little crab cake

Jennifer and I both wanted to volunteer at Macy and Taylor's kindergarten classes this year. So, we each chose a morning that would work with each other. Every other week, Jennifer watches Paige on Tuesdays and I watch Ayden on Friday of that week.

And it's an automatic play date for Paige. She loves Ayden and I do too.

Look at him. He is the cutest little thing.

Paigey is nine months older than Ayden.

We aren't used to little boys around here, so I get my boy fix when he's around. I love the spikey hair, the cute clothes and those dimples. And he's a lovey ~ he'll just come plop down in my lap.

And when I say we aren't used to little boys, I mean it literally. I don't have the foggiest idea of how to clean a little boy's area. And when Paigey watched me changed his diaper, she pointed to the end of his thang and called it a "bellybuppon". Of course that is what she calls anything that is circular with something in the middle (including the two she has on her chest).

my mission took us to the competition

Last week, I was on a valance mission for the kitchen. Out of desperation, I ended up at...

Paige, don't even act like you're not there...

my little partner in crime.

**I found some (in onyx) at JCPenney and a dear, sweet associate told me they go on sale B1G1 every so often. So, I wait..**
