there's a Pumpkin under there

As I was walking through the living room, I saw red out of the corner of my eye. I looked over and saw Paigey dressed as "Beeful Eel" (Beautiful Ariel).

Just hanging out.

Like it's normal to be dressed like that while watching TV.

Not like she can see the TV.

Welcome to a moment of my world.

What time is it??

Summertime! Today officially marks our first day of being pool rats again this summer. After naps, we are heading to the pool to buy our pool passes and let the fun begin.

Unlike the end of March, when Macy encouraged the home group kids to do "teamwork" to get the plastic pool out from behind our shed. Then turn on the water hose and strip down to "celebrate summer." (Macy and I had watched High School Musical 2 that weekend ~ because I'm a sucker for cheesy musicals).

Well, only the girls stripped down ~ the boys were fully clothed. The adults were inside doing prayer requests and were astounded that we were able to get through them without kids under our feet. Then one of the parents went outside to check on the kids to find the celebration in full swing. We should've been praying for them, or at least for Macy. I hope this instance isn't any foreshadowing into the future....One of the home group daddies teases me and says, "well at least my child isn't the one having everyone get naked in the pool!" Macy, she is nothing if not a free spirit.

Preston's mommy and I have a pact that we will show this picture in a slide show one day for their graduation and/or wedding rehearsal dinner (preferably when they marry each other).

Starting Monday, the girls will start swimming lessons. Paige and I are doing a mommy and me class for two weeks. Macy will take two swimming sessions so she'll have lessons for four weeks straight. One goal I have for her is to feel comfortable enough to take her fingers out of her nose in the water. We've got the goggles to protect her eyes but by golly, she's got her fingers to "protect her boogers."

I can't make this stuff up.

Texas A&M has just the right program for them

Last month, Macy had "community helper" day at school. All of the children had to dress up as what they wanted to be when they grew up. Our girl, she aims high. She wants to be a doctor to animals otherwise known as a "beterinarian". Well, my daughters, they dress up but if it is not a color of the rainbow, not made in some silky fabric or adorned with frill and flash, then we don't own it. So, that sent me to ToysRUs to find Macy something conservative.

A few days later, she was dressed as "Dr. Felix" (????) and was back to her own sense of style ~ marabou shoes and a crown. And apparently at her office, they are low staffed she has to take her own letters to be mailed (with pony in tow).

Yesterday, she brought me a doggie and told me he was all better now. She was Dr. Felix again but let me know it was "pajama day" at her office.

Maybe both sisters could go into practice together...

And Paige could be Dr. Pedro...

do you think God has tomato juice??

I pointed out a dead skunk on the road to Macy tonight.

M: Did the stunk go to heaven?
Me: I'm sure he did.
M: Do you think the stunk sprayed God???

Rockin' Out the Show

Last week, Macy and I joined some friends to see the Hannah Montana 3D movie.

because if she hadn't, who knows where I would've put the ballie

I had picked out Macy's clothes for her to wear to school. I told her to go put everything in my room so I could iron them. This is what I found:

complete with the "ballie" (ball-e) on top

All dressed for school

inching her way along the hall as I snapped pics

**Just out of curiousity, what do you call the "ballie"? That is what my mom always called them because most of them are just round balls. This particular one is fancy...**

This is what we are dealing with here, people!

If you don't already have a crick in your neck, you will after watching this. Sorry, next time I'll film w/the camera horizontal.

These two films are examples of what we are dealing with in our little corner of the world. Macy loooovvvveeeessss to shake her bootay. She learned the bootay shakin' song from me, I'm afraid. I get all of these songs in my head while I'm bustin' it at the gym. Then I come home and I'm always singing some kind of song. But these moves believe me, aren't anything genetic or anything she's ever witnessed from either parent.

Recall, I am the gal who can not for the life of me sing and clap my hands at the same time. I can do one or the other but both just ain't gonna happen. And Gregg, the only thing he says he shakes is the salt and the pepper!

So, Crazy Nut got a guitar for Christmas and likes to "rock this show down" as much as possible. Listen close and you'll hear Paigey singing in the background and gotta love how Macy gives her fans some love.

Literally as soon as Macy exits her "stage" - Little Bit goes and does a encore for her. Complete with ABC song and love for her fans. But, Pumpkin is less uninhibited like her parents.

These girls are going to give us a run for our money. Prayers needed asap!

Any ole time

is a good time for dress up! Even if she is at her 14 yr old cousin's house! In the middle of our Christmas brunch, Macy was found wearing this number ~ an infant gown (oh, yes it is!) and fluffy socks! Thank you to Sarah for your patience with Macy going through your closet and drawers. You were sweet to let her have her fun.

And when it was time to go, everyone was on the hunt to find a certain missing baby doll. We searched the house and it was found napping in Sarah's dresser. Granted, there were six cousins ages 6 and under hyped up on Omish bread and sweet rolls and presents and each other!

Jelly

I was wearing this shirt (in azalea) the other day under my black velour jogging suit. Macy informed me that I look like jelly! I wasn't sure if she was talking about my tummy being jelly-like because she's been known to point out my flaws.

I tentatively asked for clarification and she said the color of my shirt was like jelly! I don't know what else I could be thinking since I am a size-2 like Jennifer Love. Ha!

Reindeer Macy

In a quest for something, I was digging in one of my many junk drawers as I do 3,493 times a day. I came across a pink, flashing ring that I picked up for Macy off Target's dollar rack. Macy declared it "one of my goldens" and then found an alternate use.

I'm sure she meant it in the nicest possible way

The same morning we took the Christmas card pics before school, we whipped together a bday card for Macy's teacher. I am the ultimate procrastinator and knew for two weeks that the kids were to make a card for teacher's bday. In fact, the other teacher in the class had asked me to spread the word about it to the other mommies. Because I always end up being the "hub" as Gregg says. Probably because I have a big mouth. Maybe because I can be a bit social. But being social has it's downfalls but that is another post for another time.

Anyhoo...I whipped the stickers out and did my not-so-crafty (because I'm no Susie-homemaker) part of the card and gave Macy free reign to do whatever else to it.
A cootie bug at treasure island???
(An escape to treasure island sounds really good about now)
