I told Macy to go sit on the potty because we were about to go to Target.
(Insert hysteria from Macy)
Me: What is the problem?
Macy: I don't want to go to Target!
Me: Why not?
Macy: I'm not a sweet girl there.
Me: Macy, you have to learn to behave at places - you can't just not go to them anymore.
Macy: Maybe I'll be a sweet girl next time.
Hopefully, next time will be the charm. It is a wonder I leave the house with these girls.
Let's just say, I tried the "train" (cart with buggy in front and broken seat belts) for a change today. Which by the way, was made for aisle shopping only. Not to maneuver through the girl's department to get Macy a swim coverup that she requested would have sparkles. Because she lllloooovvvveeeessss sparkles. No such luck but we found a cute one that'll do. Before you ask ~ yes, I have bought the girl's swimsuits already ~ b/c that is how I roll, people! At the end, I was carrying Paige, pushing the buggy and Macy was walking.
At the checkout, I yanked Macy off of the magazine rack. Immediately, the lady in front of me politely asked me if she could ask Macy a question. It flashed through my mind that she was from CPS and she was going to ask, "little girl, did your mommy just hurt your arm?" No, she wanted to show Macy a toy with beads and glitter and asked if she would like a toy like that (she was buying it for someone else). I told her the child would, but the mommy wouldn't! Then this lady proceeded to hand the toy to Paige to see and then expect it back to purchase it. That.was.not.happening. This lady obviously hadn't had much experience with the wee ones.
Fun times.
