But I work best under pressure. And if I go to bed tonight w/out pink eye, I'll be doing good. That is what happened when I was packing two weeks ago for Padre ~ green gunk filling up both of my eyes before I hit the sheets. Fortunately, I had some eye drops for the gunk my girls had been randomly having the past few weeks. I juiced up my eyes but still woke up looking like this:
Pi-ti-fulWe set out for our 10hr trek and it was no time we were detained in the metroplex for a good 45 minutes due to road construction. No worries b/c Macy was good to go.

Then about two hrs down the road, Paige threw up twice in a row. Mental note ~ powdered donuts and milk don't mix. Gregg stuffed her car seat full of baby wipes while I changed her on the side of the road ~ at arms length. We were back on the road with a smelly car seat when we realized we were burning up the same highway as royalty. Macy spotted "Sleeping Beauty's house" with her good eyes. She said she knew it was her house b/c of "all of the straws".

Before we left town, I googled Firehouse Subs to see if there was one somewhere along our route. The thought of going a week without my favorite sandwich was making me a little shaky. And guess where we ate lunch?? Nothing like picking up my sandwich with the same fingers that I had rinsed the gravel and throw-up from Paigey's clothes in the Ladies room... Desperate times...
The next seven hours was a Barbie movie marathon, Bill Miller's iced tea stop in San Antonio, and potty breaks (due to the iced tea). The closer we got to the Island, the more Paige entertained us with her delirium...

eating her feet, dancing, and being a bird

BTW, in 10 hrs, Paige slept 20 minutes and Macy 0....
So, off to pack! (after I check emails and blogs...)
