1 pumpkin remains

I am so far behind on my posting that I am going to combine what normally would be three posts into one. They are all Halloween related and now Halloween is over, I just want to post all of it and call it a day.

Because I still need a shower, we've got church tonight and if you haven't heard, Tech plays TU at 7pm...and for some reason, I'm throwing around the idea of doing 30 days of blogging. And today would be Day 1.

At the beginning of October I bought 4 pumpkins to decorate our porch. I always buy four because there are you know, four of us. I try to buy two littler ones to represent the girls, the biggest one to represent Gregg, and the tallest, skinnist one to represent me.

For obvious reasons.

But this year at Sam's there were no tall, skinny ones to be found.

Figures.

Well, two Saturdays ago, I busted out what Macy lovingly calls the craps to decorate the two littlest pumpkins.

Craps don't come out here very often so when they do, it is a real treat. For the girls.

And I wish I could take credit for this spark of creativity. But I can't. Ginny's girls did it first and I totally snagged the idea.

And Ginny, my girls thank you.

Macy's (on the left) named her pumpkin, Allie.
Paigey named her pumpkin something that very much resembled Allie too.

You know, if someone has a good idea, then roll with it. Apparently she gets that for me.

Or maybe because she's two, and doesn't have a plethora of names she could pull out her belt.

And during this crappy extraganza, I got real crazy and pulled out the fingerpaints.

On Wednesday night, we (I mean Gregg and the girls) carved the jack-o-lantern.
I'm just guessing, but I'm thinking most men don't pull out two Black N Decker tools to get the job done.
The pumpkin actually got carved twice because Paigey filled the pumpkin back up.
And now the last, remaining pumpkin made a good little seat last night for pictures.
Here's Cinderella and Hannah "Ontana".
Taylor and Ayden came over to trick or treat with us.

The holidays are coming at a vengence ~ the best time of the year!!
And you better believe that I've got those boxes saved!
